10 out of 25 Gujarat ministers facing criminal cases: ADR
Post the resignation of Gujarat's Chief Minister, Anandiben Patel and the reconstitution of the Council of Ministers in the Gujarat Assembly, Gujarat Election Watch (GEW) and Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR) have analysed the self-sworn affidavits of all 25 ministers including the newly elected Chief Minister from the Gujarat State Assembly.

According to a release by ADR, 10 (40%) out of the 25 ministers have declared criminal cases against themselves. Out of the 10 ministers who have declared criminal cases, 5 have declared serious criminal cases. These cases include murder, attempt to murder, robbery, dacoity etc.

Out of the 25 ministers, 21 (84%) are crorepatis. The average assets of 25 ministers is Rs 7.81 crores. The minister with the highest declared total assets is Solanki Parshottmbhai Odhavjibhai from Bhavnagar Rural constituency with assets worth Rs.37.61 crores.

The minister with the lowest declared total assets is Tadvi Sabdsharan Bhailalbhai from Nandod (ST) constituency with assets worth Rs. 23.76 lakhs.

A total of 18 ministers have declared liabilities out of which the minister with the highest liabilities is Radadiya Jayeshbhai Vithalbhai from Jetpur constituency with Rs.7.94 crores of liabilities.
