16 year-old-girl gang raped by classmate in moving car in Greater Noida
The massive outcry following Kati and Unnao rape cases doesn't seem to have served as deterrent to the rapists living in our country. In another brutal incident, a class 11 student was gang raped for hours inside a moving car least week.

The accused, a classmate of the victim offered to drop the victim home. Along with him, two more boys were in the car and three of them gang raped the victim while and later dumped her. The incident took place on Wednesday. The girl has informed the police that she had missed the school bus that she would regularly use to commute. She started walking when her classmate offered to drop her home.

The victim has alleged that the boys forced her to have a drink that was laced with drugs, before gang raping her. The parents of the girl had reported her missing to the police. Of the three accused, two including the main accused have been arrested while one more is still on the run. Of the three accused in the case, while one of them is her classmate, another is her distant relative.

The police have registered an FIR against the accused under Section 376 (punishment for rape). Relevant sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012 have also been included in the FIR.

With the rise in number of rape cases of children, the government has also amended the law which now mandates that the guilty in case of child rapists be given death penalty.
