2010 Round-up: The top mobile handsets of the year
In 2010, dual sim, 3G handsets attract a large section of mobile phone users in the country. According to the popularity and number of searches on the Internet, Nokia latest launched handsets dominates among the users.
YEAR 2010 is about to say good bye and every one is now waiting to welcome 2011. If we think what were the highlights of the mobile phone sector, then we can say that Indian market consistently witnessed growth and slew of new launches in 2010.
 
This year, mobile service provider Airtel became the fifth largest telecom operator in the world with over 200 million subscribers. According to the reports, about 17 million mobile users being added every month in the country.
 
About 700 million mobile phone users are in India. They use low budget mobile handsets to high end phones. Mobile phone giant Nokia has the highest market share in mobile handsets in India. Other handsets makers in the list of top five include Samsung, LG, Indian handset makers Micromax, Spice.
 
In 2010, dual sim, 3G handsets attracted a large section of mobile phone users in the country.
