24 hours of Le Mans race: Nigel Mansell Injured - All details
Mansell, who was also F1 champion in 1992, was racing for the first time in the Le Mans. The race was put on hold for about half an hour.
 
THIS WEEKEND is not going to be easy for you as it is the time for 78 th Le Mans race. The race that started on Saturday saw former Formula One champion Nigel Mansell crashed at the 24 hours of Le Mans only after 18 minutes after it began.
 
But Mansell hit the security barrier before he reached the Indianapolis turn. He was conscious in the car for several minutes and then was evacuated in an ambulance. He is reportedly in a good condition.
 
Mansell, who had won Indycar series in US in 1993, was part of a three-driver line-up alongside sons Leo and Greg. Before the race started he reportedly said that the goal is to finish and get more competitive and the biggest goal is to attract a sponsor so that they continue their dream.
 
Mansell, who was also F1 champion in 1992, was racing for the first time in the Le Mans. The race was put on hold for about half an hour. After which Franck Montagny moved to place number 2 and Pedro Lamy for the first time moved to number 3.
