26-year-old Radio Mirchi employee drowns and dies after her car falls into open drain in Noida
In a shocking incident, a Radio Mirchi employee died in Noida in the early hours of Wednesday after her car plunged into a 10-feet-deep drain as she negotiated a bend near the Sector 85 roundabout.

As per the reports, the deceased has been identified as 26-year-old Tania Khanna, a sales manager and a resident of Kavi Nagar locality of Ghaziabad. She was driving to a friend's house when the incident occurred. The autopsy report is said to have listed the cause of death as drowning. A pedestrian who saw the speeding car crash into the drain called out to the police. Her body was brought out from inside the drain this morning and taken to a hospital. She, however, was declared brought dead. The accident occurred when she lost the control of her Hyundai Verna car which fell into a canal near Noida's Sector 94.

Tania's younger brother Kunal has blamed the absolute negligence of civic officials for his sister's demise. Pertinently, a huge drain has been left uncovered with no street lights and CCTV cameras around. The civic bodies have not yet responded on the claim.

Tania was well-known within the organization Radio Mirchi, as a vivacious, ambitious and loved colleague. Khanna was part of Radio Mirchi's marketing team. The police have indicated that Tania was not drunk at the time of the accident and further investigations are on to ascertain the exact cause of the mishap.
