The FBI has told a Mumbai Special Court that a case has been registered in the US in connection with 26/11 Mumbai attacks. Six Americans had lost their lives in the attacks which were carried out by 10 attackers.
THE US investigating agency, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) told the 26/11 Special Court on Thursday that a case has been registered in the United States in connection with the Mumbai attacks, in which six American citizens were killed.
The FBI told the court that the investigation was still continuing into the case and the agency had interrogated few Pakistani nationals in this regard. The names of these persons were however not revealed by the FBI agent deposing before the Special Court today.
The premier US investigating agency had earlier confirmed the role of Pakistan based terror groups in executing the attacks. An FBI agent, who deposed before the court had said that GPS data clearly indicated that there was a Pakistani link to the Mumbai attacks.
He also informed the court that satellite data revealed that the 10 attackers had travelled from Karachi and reached Mumbai via sea. Evidence from the FBI has lent more strength to the Indian stand that terrorists, who carried out the Mumbai carnage were being handled by their masters from across the border. India also holds that the entire operation was planned, organised and executed by terror outfits based in Pakistan.
