On Thursday morning, three Army jawans were martyred and another three injured after militants opened fire at a patrolling party of the 44 Rashtriya Rifles at Mulu Chitragram area of south Kashmir's Shopian district.

Reportedly, a civilian woman of the Mulu area also died in the attack after being hit by a stray bullet inside her house during the exchange of fire. She later succumbed to her injuries.

According to the police, the slain woman, identified as Taja, "was hit by a stray bullet inside her house during the crossfire". "She also succumbed to her injuries," said the police spokesman.
