3-year-old becomes victim of Gurgaon hit-and-run case
A three-year-old girl was killed and almost a dozen other people, including four other children were injured on Sunday morning when four drunken men rammed their speeding car into a van on busy MG Road in Gurgaon.

SANSKRITI, A three-year-old innocent girl died on spot when four unknown middle age men crashed their Maruti Wagon R into the van, she was travelling in with family and relatives. Reportedly the condition of two more children and a woman is still critical who along with other family members were admitted in Safdarjung Hospital.

Two eyewitnesses, Gautam and Robin told The Times of India that the occupants of WagonR were drunk at the time of accident, however, cops have not confirmed this claim. But when police searched their car, they found an open Whisky bottle. On the statement of girl's father Brijesh Kumar, who was driving the van, an FIR has been lodged in Sector 29 police station against unknown driver of WagonR car under section 279/337/304A of IPC.

All occupants of WagonR abandoned the car and fled before the arrival of police, said eyewitnesses. "The address of the car owner has been taken from the authority on the basis of car number (DL 8 CP 3695) and the four accused will be arrested soon," said Hardeep Singh, SHO, Sector 29 police station.

The injured have been identified as Brijesh, his wife Anita, son Kartik, brother Ajit, sister Babli, brother-in-law Sunil, Soni, brother-in-law's wife Neeru and her kids Komal and Krishna.

Gurgaon police also started "Drive against Drunken Driving" and very proudly put the number of challans on their Facebook profile but this incident and the recent BMW hit-and-run case have exposed their claims.

Whether it is crime against women or the rising number of crime incidents and the road accidents, Gurgaon, with every passing day is becoming a dangerous place, both for residents and people working here.

No dividers on roads, no reflectors and signs, unnecessary speed-breakers, insufficient and inefficient traffic police, which are even incapable of handling rash driving of autorickshaws. The only thing these policemen do is wave their hands, God knows in which direction.
