32-year-old IAS officer Mukesh Pandey commits suicide; body found on rail track in Ghaziabad
In a shocking incident, the District Magistrate of Buxar (Bihar) has allegedly committed suicide. He had joined the present posting just a few days ago on August 4.

As per reports, the deceased, identified as 32-year-old Mukesh Pandey, allegedly committed suicide in Uttar Pradesh's Ghaziabad by jumping in front of a moving train. His dead body was found on the railway track at a yard near the Ghaziabad railway station. A suicide note was also recovered along with the body. It was because of the suicide note that the police were able to identify him.

Reportedly, Pandey had also sent a WhatsApp message to a few friends before he took his own life.

In the message, he had written: "I am committing suicide in district centre area of Janakpuri West Delhi near hotel Piccadilly by jumping off the 10th floor of the building, I am fed up with life and my belief in human existence has gone, my suicide note is kept in a Nike bag in room 742 of the Leela Palace Hotel in Delhi! I am sorry I love you all! Please forgive me!"

Some of the people who had received this message contacted the Delhi Police. But when the police reached the mentioned location, they did not find him there. Around 9 pm, the police received a call about his body being found on the railway track near the Ghaziabad station.

Pandey was 32-years-old and was an IAS officer from 2012 batch, Bihar cadre.
