The death toll might rise as more and more bodies are being taken out of the gorge. Although the reason is yet to be ascertained yet the survivors say that the bus was overcrowded, which caused the accident.
ATLEAST 35 people were killed and several injured when a Himachal Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) bus rolled down a 500 foot deep gorge at Ashapuri in Kangra district. Injured are being treated at sub divisional hospital.
According to the locals the rescue operations began at least three hours after the incident, which led to more number of deaths. Vikram Katoch told NNIS: “35 died and till now we have recovered 25.
