5 simple and easy ways to stay 'fit' and 'healthy'
'Health is wealth' is perhaps the one of the most famous proverbs which we often hear from our grandparents or parents. Therefore, good health is important for all of us.

If your health is good, you can enjoy life to the fullest. However, if one is not healthy, he or she will tend to suffer from health related problems. An unhealthy lifestyle and obesity are commonly linked to health issues. Losing weight takes a lot of effort, patience, and resilience. So, here we shall discuss 5 simple ways to keep yourself 'fit' and 'healthy'.

1) Regular physical exercise:

Exercise

Your morning routine should start by visiting a gym, doing yoga or taking up any physical exercise. Regular exercise not only enhances your physical fitness but also boosts your metabolism. According to a recent study, daily exercise canalso protect you from 'dementia', a term used for several symptoms that are caused by brain disorders including memory loss, difficultyin thinking etc. Performing any physical exercise on regular basis brings a great positive change not only in your physical personality but also in your mood and behaviour. Moreover, it also plays a crucial role in maintaining your weight and keeping your muscles strong.

2) Advantageof taking a protein-rich diet:

Protein Diet

Usually, most of the households depend largely on those meals or products which comprise of high amounts of carbohydrates and fats rather than focusing more on protein-rich foods like pulses, eggs, chicken, oats, nuts, yogurt which are known as 'muscles builders'. Accurate amount of protein in your diet will help in maximising your metabolic rate, thus protecting you from obesity. When you consume a protein-rich diet, your tummy feels full and you don't feel hungry for a long time. This also ensures that you stay away from munching on junk food. A protein-rich diet also helps to repair the damaged cells and tissues of our body. Bodybuilders and weight lifters mainly rely on proteins to keep their bodies healthy and also to get those perfect abs.

3) Drinking warm water:

Warm Water

Drinking warm water gives you instant results in reducing your body weight and maintaining a healthy metabolism. Hot water improves digestion and also effectively helps your body to detox. When you drink warm water, your body temperature begins to increase, which results in excessive sweating. Apart from that, drinking warm water enables the release of toxins from your body. Drinking hot water also helps in getting rid of that excess belly fat. It also increases your stamina and prevents the risk of excessive cholesterol.

4) Proper sleeping schedule:

Proper Sleeping

Sleeping time affects your work routine, physical activity and quality of life. In short, it may affect your overall productivity. To keep yourself healthy and fit, you must avoid alcohol and heavy meals at night before bedtime. Try to make a proper sleeping schedule and get at least 6-8 hours of sleep in a day. A recent study has pointed out that one shouldn't go to bed unless sleepy. The study which was published in the journal 'Sleep' found that people who slept fewer than six hours in a night for two weeks scored far worse in memory tests than those who slept for eight hours. So, lack of proper sleep can make you unhealthy and also lower your metabolic rate as well. Therefore, a good night's sleep also prevents the risk of weight gain.

5) Never skip 'breakfast'

Breakfast

Eating breakfast on a regular basis plays a key role in staying fit and keeping your personality impressive. A healthy breakfast starts your day off right, but many people avoid having breakfast in their daily routine. Eating a healthy breakfast helps in maintaining an appropriate blood sugar level in your body. Grains, oats, egg whites, peanut butter, Greek yogurt, milk, dal, almonds, fruits are good sources of protein, fibres, minerals and other nutrients which can be included in your daily breakfast. According to many nutritionists, a protein-rich breakfast is best for staying healthy and fit.
