The Department of Economic and Statistical Analysis Haryana has started training for census 2012-2013 in Gurgaon with the help of Municipal Corporation of Gurgaon. On this occasion, the Deputy Director and Regional Economic Census Officer of DESA was present and allotted officers to acquire and record census information in various zones of the city.
Vidhyasagar, District Statistics Officer said that door-to-door survey will be done to collect accurate information and data so that there will be no wrong data added to the National Census, which is being organized for 2012-2013.
"This census is very much important because government's policies depend largely on the accurate and correct information of census. Thus, all those officers who are today got allotted for the work should take it seriously because we will not tolerate any king of carelessness," Vidhyasagar said in the meeting.
On Friday, DESA also gave training to all supervisors and staff who have been given responsibility of census in Government Senior Secondary School of
Gurgaon and were given particular zone.
Zone 1 of corporation will be headed by Narender Kataria, and in this zone training will be given till 19th January. Zone 1 constitutes 951 blocks and for census work 129 supervisors and 267 staff are allotted.
In zone 2 Dr VK Thapar will head 75 supervisors and 214 staff to collect census of 857 blocks. Dr Thapar will train these people from 21st to 24th January in same school. Whereas Rita Darl will take care of Zone 3 and its 549 block with the help of 60 supervisors and 131 executive staffs and training to them will be given from 28th to 31st of January.
