5000 plants planted in Gurgaon by Municipal Corporation of Gurgaon
In order to make the Millennium City clean and green, Municipal Corporation of Gurgaon has planted almost 5000 plants in last few days. This drive of MCG in Old Gurgaon is praiseworthy but the question is - will these plants be taken care of, and will the tree plantation drive be consistent in the future?
IN THE last few weeks, the Municipal Corporation of Gurgaon (MCG) has carried out plantation work in different wards of the city. To make the city more greener, the city's Gardening Assistant Engineer Amarjeet Bisla has planted almost 5000 plants in different areas of all four zones of Gurgaon, an official from MCG told this citizen journalist .
In this drive 413 plants were planted in Kadipur Community centre, 250 in Kadipur schools, 75 near Kadipur tank, 45 on Kadipur roadsides, 150 plants were planted in cremation ground of Kadipur.
Other than these areas, 15 plants were planted in the temple of Kadipur, 150 and 205 in Kherki Daula and village Harsaru's cremation ground. In Begampur a total od 730 plants were planted and in Basai Village around 734 were planted in different places.
The MCG also planted 350 trees in Islampur primary schools and 51 in Arjun Nagar Rajeev Gandhi park. MCG has covered almost all areas in Old Gurgaon, and even planted almost 100 plants in its own office.
The monsoon, as per the spokesperson of MCG, is a good time to plant more trees, which will make this city more greener and cool in summers.
