6 disturbing statements of BJP affiliated leaders in the last 2 years
BJP minister Giriraj Singh's racist comment on Sonia Gandhi put BJP on the backfoot in Loksabha on Monday with Congress leadership aggressively pushing for Prime Minister of the country, Mr. Narendra Modi, to apologise for the comment of his party member. It is a shame that a handful of BJP ministers' continuous en-devour to stay in the limelight is not only tarnishing BJP's image but also reflecting badly on India and its prime minister.

Narendra Modi govt. was voted to centre with a lot of hopes. But from the time the BJP govt. resumed power in centre, various unknown ministers from BJP and its allies are going around stating things that has nothing to do with the country's social, cultural or financial improvement but take all the attention away from the developments and improvements happening within the country. The party could do well if they reign these rogue ministers from loose talk. As of now, BJP is losing ground fast due to their lack of control on these rogue ministers.

A look at 6 such image spoilers in the last two years.

Sanjay Raut, Shiv Sena Leader

BJP allies minister and Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut recently stroked a major controversy when he asked for scarping voting rights of Muslim community. In a column published in Shiv Sena mouthpiece Saamna, Sanjay Raut stated that how Muslims are used as vote-bank and revoking their rights is the only solution to it. He said, "Bal Thackery in past had demanded to revoke voting rights of Muslims as they are used as vote-banks and they have no future. The secular facade of people will be exposed when voting rights of Muslim will be scrapped."

Sakshi Maharaj, MP (BJP)

Lawmaker Sakshi Maharaj remain in news for making controversial remarks. In order to increase the population of Hindus in the nation he asked Hindu women to produce at least four kids each to counter the Muslim population. He said, "give birth to four children to protect the Hindu religion." Perhaps to evade all possibilities of seeing enlargement in Muslim or Christian population the statement had been made. Thus, the statement fumed a lot of controversy. Even BJP distant itself from party's member's contentious remark by saying that it was MP's personal opinion and this should not be related with the party. However, he was again in news for calling Mahatma Gandhi's assassinator Nathuram Godse a martyr.

Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti, Union State Minister (BJP)

Sadhvi Nirajnai Jyoti's contentious remark prompted another big controversy. While launching the BJP campaign Sadhvi Jyoti was trying her level best to convince voters. But unfortunately things fall apart when she asked voters to carefully make a choice between 'Ramzade' (Born of Ram) and Haramzade (Born Illegitimately). She also said that either Muslim or Christians all are sons of Ram and those who no more stand with this ideology are not citizen of this nation. She stated, "Modiji ka mantra hai na hum khaynge na khane denge. Ab aapko teh karna hai ki aap kise chunenge, aapko chunna hai ki ramzyaado ki sarkar banegi ya haramzaado ki sarkar banegi, ye aapko teh karna hai ( As Modiji has decided that we will neither accept bribe nor let others to do it. Now, its up to you to whom to choose either Ram sons of illegitimate born person)."

Even Though she apologised but it is highly notified that her inflammatory language created a lot of tension.

Giriraj Singh, Union Minister (BJP)

He made controversial remark a one after another. BJP union minister Giriraj Singh during 16th Lok Sabha elections called Modi's critics Pakistanis, "those who oppose prime minister candiate Narendra Modi should leave India as their place will be in Pakistan." Although he is very closed to PM Modi but the series of making contentious remark din't stop here when he added fuel into the Sadhavi Niranjani Jyoti's controversy by comparing Narendra Modi to Lord Ram.

Things turned more ugly when he made scathing attack, "had Rajiv Gandhi married a Nigerian woman and had she not been of white skin, would the Congress party have accepted her as a leader?" His racist remark fumed Congress supporters and gained a lot criticism. After this, BJP president Amit Shah rebuked the minister and asked MP to refrain from using such racist language. And it was Shah's move which forced Giriraj to express regret for his comment.

Though, since very long party is warning its supporter to not to make any contentious comment thus no positive results have been notified. However, this foot in mouth soldier again came in news when he lampooned Rahul Gandhi's long disappearance and compared it with missing Malaysian airline, "Rahul Gandhi aise gayab ho gaye hain jaise Malaysian airline"

Yogi Adityanath, BJP campaigner

One can call him another foot in mouth solider. He was the star campaigner of BJP (Uttar Pradesh) as he was quite open minded about his religious ideology and views during the campaign. His controversial statement during such peak time blessed him with strong criticism. According to him, the place where a particular minority community constitute between 20-40 percent of the totally population is the one where communal riots happen. Thus, for using hate and inflammatory speech during the campaign, he had been slapped by Elections Commission notice.

In 2014, when love-jihad controversy highlighted, in a released video he exhorted Hindu men to marry hundred Muslim women, if one Hindu women witness forcible conversion. He even cleared that if government would not understand the gravity of matter then Hindu will take it into their own hands.

Mohan Bhagwat, RSS Leader

RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat leave no stone unturned to call India 'Hindu Rashtra.' RSS is BJP's parent ogranisation and the party never instiage to stop this PM Narendra Modi's foot in mouth solider. He can be always seen in fetching Hindutva identity to the nation when he stated. "Hindustan is a Hindu nation and Hindutva is the identity of our nation. And it (Hinduism) can incorporate others (religions)in itself". He always remain in news for the sole reason i.e converting secular nation into Hindutva nation.

While Narendra Modi is going all out to woo investors to the country, his ministers and supposed supporters keep India in the International headlines for all wrong reasons. We hope these ministers will understand the gravity of matter and try their best to not to make such contentious remark in near future as somewhere it only tarnish the image of BJP which is national government of this nation.
