60th Britannia Filmfare Awards 2014: Who gets what?
The 60th Britannia Filmfare awards were held to honour the best Bollywood films of 2014. The ceremony was hosted by filmmaker Karan Johar, actress Alia Bhatt and comedian Kapil Sharma. The nominations were announced on 19th January 2015, and the award function was held on 31st January 2015.

This time the Filmfare awards saw the who's who from the entertainment industry to walk the red carpet. From Salman Khan to Deepika Padukone, Karan Johar to Varun Dhawan, the stars made their presence felt with their style statements and memorable quotes.

Here is the list of the winners from various categories:

Best Actor male award was given to Sahid Kapoor for his performance in the critically acclaimed film Haider. The movie was based on a Shakespeare's play Hamlet, directed by Vishal Bhardwaj.

Best Actor female award was presented by the versatile actress Rekha to Kangana Ranaut for her role in Queen. Kangana was not present at the award ceremony, so Vikas Bahl went to the stage collect the award on her behalf. But then Rekha took the award from him, saying she would present it to Kangana herself.

Best Film and Best Director award was again given to Queen and Vikas Bahl respectively. Queen was one of the most loved and watched films of 2014. It was also a favourite at the 60th Filmfare Awards. Directors Anurag Kashyap and Vikas Bahl came on stage dancing to the song London Thumkda from the same movie.

Best Actor award female (critics) was given to Alia Bhatt for her film Highway. It was considered to be one of her finest performance so far.

Best Actor award male (critics) came up as a surprise to everyone present there as the award was given to actor Sanjay Mishra for Ankon Dekhi and the movie was also awarded as the Best Film Award (critics).

Best Actor in a Supporting Role (Male and Female) was given to Kay Kay Menon and Tabu respectively for Haider.

Best Debut Actor (Male and Female) was given to Pakistani actor and Bollywood's latest heartthrob Fawad Khan for the movie Khoobsurat and Kriti Sanon for Heropanti.

Best Debut Director was Abhsihek Varman for 2 States.

Lifetime Achievement Award was given to Kamini Kaushal and was awarded by Jaya Bachchan. Kaushal has been in the industry for 70 years and Filmfare is 60 years old.

Best music director was none other than the trio Shankar Ehsaan Loy for 2 States.

Best Dialogue and Best Story was awarded to none other than Abhijat Joshi and Rajkumar Hirani for PK. The duo also won a Filmfare for Best Screenplay for the film which had Aamir Khan and Anushka Sharma playing the lead roles.

Best Lyricist award was given away to Rashmi Singh for the song Muskurane ki wajah from the film CityLights. Best Playback Singer (Male) was Ankit Tiwari for the song Galliyan from the film Ek Villain. Best Playback Singer (Female) was Kanika Kapoor for Baby Doll for the film Ragini MMS 2.

Best Choreography awardwent to Ahmed Khan for Jumme ki raat from Kick and the best Background Score award went to Amit Trivedi for Queen.

Best Editing award was given to Abhijit Kokate and Anurag Kashyap for the film Queen.
