Underlining the importance of road connectivity for overall development in the state the minister said that besides connectivity there is also a need to give importance to improvement in education sector because education is the main tool for socio-economic development of the society.
He appealed to the people to remain vigilant about the nefarious designs of the anti-social elements of the society who always try to disturb the communal harmony and peace for their vested interests as peace and communal harmony are imperative for the development of the state and the country.
Various march past contingents participated in the parade which included CRPF, JKP, JKAP, FPF, NCC and various school children. A colorful cultural programme in Siraji, Dogri, Bhaderwahi, Kashmiri and other languages was presented by the school children on the occasion, which mesmerized the audience. Later on, the Chief Guest distributed prizes among the participants, on the occasion.
District Administration gave awards to the government employees and school children for their outstanding performances.
Republic Day was also celebrated at Tehsil headquarter Bhaderwah where Sub-Divisional Magistrate Bhaderwah Dr. R.K Bharti hoisted the tricolor and took salute of the march past. A colorful cultural programme by the school children was also presented by the school children on the occasion.
