65th National Film Awards: Late Sridevi wins 'Best Actress'; Vinod Khanna honoured with Dada Saheb Phalke Award posthumously
On Friday afternoon, a 10-member jury headed by renowned filmmaker Shekhar Kapur announced the winners of the prestigious 65th National Film Awards at PIB Conference Room, Shastri Bhawan in New Delhi.

Other members of the panel included screenwriter Imtiaz Hussain, actress Gautami Tadimalla, lyricist Mehboob, Kannada film director P Sheshadri, Rumi Jaffrey, Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury, Tripurari Sharma, Rajesh Mapuskar and Ranjit Das.

While late actor Sridevi was conferred with the 'Best Actress' award for her last film 'Mom', Bollywood actor late Vinod Khanna was given the prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Award posthumously.

Rajkummar Roa starrer 'Newton' bagged the award for the 'Best Hindi Film' with actor Pankaj Tripathi receiving a special mention for his performance in the film.

The award ceremony for the 65th National Film Awards will be held on 3 May 2018. President of India Ram Nath Kovind will present the awards.

Best Regional Film: Ladhakh

Best Hindi Film: Newton

Best Action Direction: Baahubali 2 

Best Choreography: Toilet Ek Prem Katha (Ganesh Acharya)

Best Film Critic: Giridhar Jha

Best Special Effects: Baahubali 2

Best Music Direction: AR Rahman for Kaatru Veliyidai

Background score:AR Rahman for Mom

Best Supporting Actress: Divya Dutta for Irada (Hindi)

Best Supporting Actor: Fahad Faazil

Best Actress: Sridevi for Mom

Best Popular Film: Baahubali 2
