74 candidates in fray in Gurgaon, 13 nominations rejected
Nomination papers of 13 candidates in the four assembly segments in Gurgaon have been rejected. The scrutiny was done in the presence of the observers appointed by EC. Now, a total of 74 candidates have remained in election fray in district Gurgaon.
NOMINATION PAPERS of 13 candidates in all the four assembly segments falling in district Gurgaon have been rejected thus leaving 74 candidates in fray in four assembly constituencies comprising Badshahpur, Gurgoan, Pataudi and Sohna. The scrutiny was done in the presence of the observers appointed by the Election Commission of India. Now, a total of 74 candidates have remained in election fray in district Gurgaon.
Nomination papers of six candidates were rejected in Badshahpur Assembly. These include Nand Ram from Samajwadi Party, Brahmparkash from Lokjan Shakti Party, Surjeet BSP covering candidate, Anju BJP covering candidate, Virender INC covering candidate and Rajendra Singh INLD covering candidate. Now, 17 candidates have remained in Badshahpur assembly.
In Patoudi, nomination papers of three candidates were rejected, which left 19 in the electoral battle. The rejected candidates include Sanjay of NCP, Mahavir of Bhartiya Rashtriya Republic Paksh and Shakuntla INC covering candidate.
In Gurgaon constituency, 18 candidates are fighting for the seat after the papers of two candidates was rejected. Nomination of Yashpal, covering candidate for INC and Meena Devi, who was the BSP's covering candidate were rejected by the officials.
In Sohna, candidature of four was rejected and now 20 candidates are in contest. The rejected ones are Shoraj HJC covering candidate, Manju INC covering candidate, Tahir Hussain BSP covering candidate and Satbir Gurjar who filed nomination as INC candidate without a party ticket.
The last date of withdrawal of candidature is September 29.
