8 coaches of Mahakaushal Express derailed, 36 injured
Eight coaches of the Jabalpur-Nizamuddin Mahakaushal Express got derailed early morning today in Uttar Pradesh.

The accident took place in between the railway stations of Mahoba and Kulpahad and has left at least 36 passengers injured, of which 10 are injured seriously and have been admitted to a private hospital in Mahoba.

As per reports, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed state Health Minister Siddharth Nath Singh to visit the accident site.

"Any incident is unfortunate. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed me to go to Mahoba. The ATS and railway police are there. I will take cognizance and will let Yogi Adityanath ji know," Singh told ANI.

Singh also said that he was personally monitoring the rescue and relief efforts. He also said that to assist the relief operations, 30 doctors and 21 ambulances have been rushed to the accident site.

The police have also designated two helpline numbers to help the passengers and their family members. The numbers are 05101072 and 051921072.

The NDRF has sent a team of 47 members to conduct the rescue operations. The NDRF has also said that there have been no casualties so far and that there is very little probability of people being trapped.

"22 people suffered injuries in the Mahakaushal Express derailment accident, out of whom 19 have been discharged,"Anil Saxena, DG (PR) of the Indian Railways told news agency ANI.

Of the coaches that have derailed, three were AC coaches and three were general coaches.

Senior administrative and railway officials have reached the accident site and have begun investigations to ascertain the cause of the accident.
