A day care in Gurgaon celebrates Lohri with underprivileged children
In Gurgaon on the occasion on Lohri, underprivileged children from nearby construction sites also participated in the fanfare celebrating the festival of hope and prosperity with great enthusiasm. The event was orgnaised by ipsaa Day Care centre at its first centre.

Welcoming the New Year, Children and mentors altogether sang traditional folk songs and danced around the bonfire throwing puffed rice and popcorn into the flames. In addition, Children from ipsaa Day Care and underprivileged children also shared sweets, peanuts,popcorn, and goodies with each other on the occasion.

Expressing her happiness and wishing everyone a very Happy Lohri on the occasion, Kanchan Mittal, Co-founder - ipsaa Day Care said in a statement, "At ipsaa Day Care, this is what we always stand for or aspire to work towards the cause ofinculcating a culture of love, respect and solidarity towards each other from the very early age of their life so that they can grow as responsible human being and celebrate life in true sense. The celebration that we had today is part of this endeavour and we are deeply thankful to all family, friends, mentors and children for participating in the celebration with great enthusiasm."

Lohri Festival is highly celebrated in North India in the month of January. Families get together around bonfire to celebrate Lohri of the new born & newly married and eat foods such as sweets, peanuts, bhuga etc., for good health during the winter season. Peoples from North India residing in other parts of the country or abroad also celebrate the festival with great fanfare.
