It is learnt that Facebook is going to commercialize itself in a big way by starting mobile advertisements by March this year along with becoming a publicly listed company.
ACCORDING TO a latest report, the social networking giant Facebook will start beaming advertisements to users on their mobile phones soon. The Financial Times informs that Facebook users, on their cell phones, will start getting commercial advertisements from March 2012 onwards. This is a major move by Facebook towards commercializing its social networking venture, which currently has over 800 million members.

But many analysts think that the move is going to annoy the good majority of Facebook users.

It will be interesting to see how Facebook users react to the streaming of advertisements on the site. The social networking portal enjoyed and is enjoying support due to its clean design and navigation without the clutter of advertisements on its pages. So far it had been running its operations on the basis of funding and not traditional online advertising though it has sponsored advertisments on its site. Perhaps it will be a smart move as the youth and professionals are using internet on mobile to browse online properties - so in that sense Facebook's move makes sense.
