PROSPERITY – WE wish that we all achieved good financial growth. Each individual on this earth gets food and shelter. The economic growth is even and the bridge between the rich and poor gets narrow. Let the rich grow richer but let the poor also get enough money to live a decent live.

Food – let mother earth gives enough food to feel all the empty stomach of this world. Let there be no feminine, drought or flood any more.
Peace – we all pray peace prevail throughout the universe. Let there be no more bloodshed anywhere on the earth. Let the terrorists get their sense and stop all cowardly acts.

Nature – we also pray that our planet and nature’s ecological balance is kept intact. Let development not compound any natural disaster. We should open our eyes wide for global warming, as this monster might engulf our planet very soon if we do not awake today. Then, the future years will only bring chaos and miseries throughout the world.

Borders – let all the borders vanish. These should remain just sketches on the papers. We all neighbours should prosper and lead our life in spirit and harmony!
Religion – let all follow their own religion and dwell in harmony with others. May our faith be affected by cowardly acts of few men!

Politics – let the politicians think beyond their own prosperity and do well to the whole society. They should show statesmanship rather than hunger for the chair (read power).

So let’s all live happily and allow others to live happily. We are not living for our own selfish ends but also for nurturing the earth’s resources for generations to come.

It’s the way we should say ‘Welcome 2008’…
