THE CZAR of music A R Rahman, popularly known as Mozart of Madras has once again struck gold, his scintillating music in the Oscar winning Slumdog Millionaire has won two prestigious Grammy awards.
At a glittering gala organized in Los Angeles attended by bigwigs from the world of cinema, sports, business, media and politics, he was awarded Grammy in two categories, best film song and best sound track. In a nail-biting neck and neck contest, he defeated acclaimed musicians and rock star Bruce Springsteen.
Elated with the victory, AR Rahman said “This is insane; god has once again favoured me”.
