A unique 'crematorium' in Gujarat with ambience of an airport
A crematorium in Gujarat's Bardoli has been designed like an airport and named "Antim Udan Moksha Airport".

Moksha Airlines and Swarga Airlines

The crematorium has two mammoth replicas of aeroplanes which are named 'Moksha Airlines' and 'Swarga Airlines'. The most unique thing about this crematorium is that when the bereaved relatives of the deceased enter the crematorium with the mortal remains, an announcement similar to that of an airport is made to guide them which gate they should take for peace of the departed soul.

Overall, the crematorium has created airport like atmosphere to soothe and console the grieved family members.

In an exclusive talk with, President of the crematorium Somabhai Patel said, "The crematorium situated on the banks of Mindhola river has been converted into Moksha airport. People of Bardoli will recognise this place not as a crematorium but Moksha airport. The word crematorium is harsh. That is why, we have named this airport Antim Udan Moksha Airport-Bardoli."

The crematorium has five furnaces out of which 3 are electric and 2 are traditional funeral pyres. The furnace makes an aeroplane like noise when the body is placed inside.

Cremation View

As per the media report, people from more than 40 villages come here to perform the last rites of their near and dear ones. The crematorium helps them with all the necessary arrangements. The team has been working hard since last one year to convert this crematorium into Moksha airport.
