A unique devotee of Maa Durga

The country has just finished celebrating the Navratra festival and everybody celebrated it in their own way. It is one of the main festivals of the Hindu community. During the nine days the people decorated their residence and kept a fast. However, there are few devotees who always try to be exceptional int their way of worshipping the Goddess.

SAINT PITAMBAR baba is a true worshiper of Goddess Durga and decided to follow an exclusive way to impress the goddess. He placed eleven kalash or religious utensils on his chest, and worshiped the idol. According to the baba, from the past ten years he is following the same procedure during the Navratra.

“I was be in the same posture during the nine days of navratra. I have been doing it from 2001, and I feel very satisfied by this,” says Pitambar baba. But the locals were very surprised as they witnessed this for the first time, that someone following such a tough way to worship the goddess.

Everyone is very excited to have a glimps of him and praise him, because for them it is not all easy. “He did it for humanity and the well being of everyone,” said Rakesh Kumar, President of the Navyuvak Sangh. One of the local residents said that he has only heard about such incidents but this time he has got the chance to witness it. Indeed, everyone is so impressed by the baba that they are planning to invite him again during the next Navratra, reported nnis.
