However, many public services like public schools were closed, apart from federal and state offices and postal services. No mail deliveries happened except express mail. Federal and state courts along with some major banks called it a day.
However all was not that rosy at the Oval office with the 44th President spending the day at the Oval office, due to snowfall in Washington. The National Weather Service predicted a 50 per cent chance of snow on Monday.
