Aamir Khan becomes drummer for Peepli Live
Peepli Live is the fourth movie from Aamir Khan Productions Ltd and is directed by d???butante director Anusha Rizvi. The movie is scheduled to release on August 13, 2010.
THE MULTI-FACETED actor Aamir Khan surprised everyone by playing jazz drums at the music launch of his forthcoming movie, Peepli Live in Mumbai upon the encouragement of popular music band Indian Ocean. The members of the band coaxed him into playing the drums to show off his musical abilities.
The villagers of Badwai also joined this occasion and crooned “Mahangaayi” one of their popular folk songs with Raghubir Yadav. Based on the sky rocketing prices, the opposition party had earlier approached Aamir for the copy rights of this song to use it against the government. Taking a stand against it, Aamir emphasized by saying that this movie is for the audience and the song plays a pivotal role thus forming crux of the entire movie plot. He further added, “ We will not lend the song to anyone for political use. This song is part of the story of the film and it will not be used in any kind of political campaign”. The movie takes a satirical dig on the farmer's suicides which have been taking place across the country for quite a while now.Peepli Live is the fourth movie from Aamir Khan Productions Ltd and is directed by débutante director Anusha Rizvi.
