Bhangarh, a place in ruins is situated in Alwar district in the state of Rajasthan. It is some 80 kms away from the main city and is a major tourists attraction. Inspite of stories of screeching women, sound of footsteps at night and stones being thrown at people, the place has not lost its charm. The same intrigue, which draws a number of people to the area is also playing the same charm on Aamir Khan.
Flying to Jaipur first, Aamir Khan will take a road trip to the ruins of Bhangarh in the next few days. As reported in hindustantimes, his spokesperson confirmed the news and said, “Aamir's dates are being worked out for his trip to Bhangarh. He is a rationalist and doesn't believe in the supernatural at all. However, he is very curious as a person and hence wants to see this place for himself.”
The tantrik, who cursed the place, while he, himself, was being crushed by stones to death is a well recounted tale by the people, who stays there. According to it, the queen Ratnawati was loved by the Tantik and in order to get her, he once charmed the queen's hair oil. The queen, who got to know of this threw the oil on some stones that crushed the tantrik. While dying he cursed the place and said that everyone will die and their souls will be trapped for centuries in Bhangarh. The place, which sends chill down one's spine previously had an Archaeological Survey Of India sign forbidding tourists to visit the place after dark.
Will Aamir Khan, like his character witness some soul trapped in the ruins is yet to be known but the only piece of advise to him is 'curiosity kills the cat' and if one believes in God or a positive energy, then they must not underestimate the power of negative energy.
