AAP candidate from Hisar in controversy for retaining Govt. house
Former IAS officer Yudhvir Khyalia and former IPS officer Ranbir Sharma both have taken voluntary retirement and had joined Aam Adami Party led by Arvind Kejriwal. Both were hoping for the party ticket. Khyalia succeeded in getting ticket from Hisar but still occupying the Govt. house.

Although Ranbir Sharma, whose last posting was at police training college, Sunaria in Rohtak district, has vacated his Govt. accommodation in the premise of college this week, but Khyalia has not. Haryana’s Director General of Police S.N. Vashisth has informed the college authority that Khyalia could not retain the house for more period than the stipulated four month period. Moreover Khyalia was asked not to take part in any political activity while occupying the Govt. accommodation.

Although after retirement or after taking voluntary retirement official can retain the house but they cannot indulge in political activities which is violation of service rules.

Million dollar question being asked in political, administrative and journalistic circles is that Khyalia, whose party talks of highest moral values, is retaining the house even after getting party ticket.

On this issue former MP and Hisar District Congress Chief Jaiparkash has lodged formal complaint with Hisar Deputy Commissioner cum Returning Officer of Hisar Lok Sabha seat from where Khyalia is contesting on AAP's ticket.

When contacted Dr. Dhanvir, assistant of Khayalia said that Khayalia’s father-in-law is ill and has been advised bed rest. He added that Khayalia is an honest officer and do not have any private house. Dhanvir said that they are in search of a house and as soon as they get a suitable house they will vacate the Govt. house.

On this matter Rajiv Godara, President of Haryana Aam Adami Party said that he was not aware of Congress party's complaint while clarifying that Khyalia is although staying in Govt. house but he is not conducting any political activity from the house.
