Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is eying the 2014 Lok Sabha elections after its fine showing in the Delhi legislative elections, where it shocked both the Congress and BJP winning an impressive 28 seats, also helping Arvind Kejriwal become Delhi's Chief Minister. The AAP is meeting today to chalk out party's strategy in the upcoming Lok Sabha polls.
It had been announced by AAP that it would contest on all seats in Gujarat, Haryana and also in Uttar Pradesh, reported nnis. The party has also held camps in Chennai and set up offices in many other cities as well. For this, a huge campaign is taking place all over India.
On Saturday morning after emerging from the a party meeting, a senior AAP leader, Sanjay Singh announced that the party is likely to release its first list of Lok Sabha candidates in the next 10-15 days.
Kejriwal took an oath as Delhi's Chief Minister on 28th December in Ram Lila Maidan, who also urged honest people from all spheres of life and political parties including his rivals, Congress and BJP to join his party and help in eradicating corruption from the country, which is one of the important objective of AAP.
Earlier in an interview, AAP leader Kumar Vishwas had announced that he would contest the Lok Sabha elections against Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi from his constituency in Amethi in Uttar Pradesh and also said that Modi should do the same.
