The Aam Aadmi Party had originally scheduled a political roadshow in Gurgaon for today, but the plan had to be postponed, as Kejriwal's camp decided to visit Gujarat for a four day tour of the state. Balbir Singh, General Secretary of AAP, Gurgaon, Balbir Singh, when asked about the rescheduled date for Gurgaon said, ''it has not been decided.''
''I am not 100 per cent sure but I personally feel that there was a demand of Kejriwal ji from Gujarat, so he must have headed over to Gujarat,'' said Balbir. AAP has not travelled to many parts of the country on tours, so they must have felt the need to spread its wings far and wide and increase its base to garner support with the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in sight.
Balbir further said, ''We (AAP) had not been to Gujarat, so it was important for us to go there.'' Talking about future plans, he also said that the party 'may' visit other places, where they have never visited in the past as well.
But, one wonders, whether such stance of AAP will help them gain votes? Initially the people of Delhi took AAP with arms wide open even helping Kejriwal overthrow Shiela Diskhit from the post of Delhi's chief minister in the national capital. But, with things presently shaping up in AAP and the resignation of Kejriwal last month, things no longer look very positive for AAP.
