Aarushi murder case: A mirror to the Indian police
Aarushi's murder case has again pointed fingers at the inefficiency of India's police force. IG Singh's press conference raised more questions than answers. Is there a provision to punish the police for its irresponsibility?

NUPUR TALWAR, Aarushi's mother was again questioned by police after she gave the statement claiming her husband's innocence. It is learnt that the police is planning to arrest her too. Is it her punishment for speaking to the media?

Inspector general Singh's press conference was ridiculous .The responsible police officer had no answers to the questions asked by the journalists. He fumbled in calling out Aarushi's name. Many a times he named her as Shruti. Is there a provision to punish the police for its irresponsibility?
Why is the police is not handing over the case to Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI)?

I remember a case that happened some five years back in Goregaon, Mumbai. The father was arrested for the murder of his teenage daughter. The court acquitted him blaming the investigating officer and police harshly. But no action was taken against the concerned officer. He was not even punished for wrongly framing the case and spoiling the reputation of the father.

police is seen irresponsible and acting in malafide manner regulary. But in India even judiciary esp. lower judiciary is a place of harassment and non-justice for common person while it is heaven for big fish.

The Police has been very insensitive if not stupid, to say the least. IG Singh declared in the press-conference that Dr.Talwar had an illicit relationship with his fellow Doctor, which led to the killing. IG Singh, has however, not produced any evidence till date to corroborate his statement. It is very humilating and damaging for a lady tocome under public scrutiny, in this fashion, for no fault of hers. When the Police decided to go public with their theory of extra-marital angle, they should have also brought the evidence into public domain. IG Singh and the concerned Police Officers must be made responsible for the humilatin and suffering Dr. Durani had to undergo.
