AB de Villiers to miss T20 and ODI series against Australia
AB De Villiers got injured while training along with his Royal Challenge Bangalore team mates in his training session, which was very unfortunate as he would be missing the ODI and the T20 series against Australia.

AB DE Villiers, one of the most important players for South Africa and a present member of the Royal Challengers Bangalore squad has fractured his hand, while he was training with his RCB team mates some days back. The unfortunate accident has taken place during a wrong time, as South Africa would be playing Australia in the upcoming series between two greatest sides in international cricket.

The RCB team has already missed his batting but still they have a good replacement in the form of Dilshan, who was waiting in the wings. The RCB has not been able to play well in his absence too. On the other hand, it is a big concern for South Africa, as they may not have a good replacement for the player, who has been scoring runs consistently, while playing in South African colours. He is expected to be out of action for a period of 6 weeks, which largely means that he would be missing the T20 and the ODI series against Australia. It is a big blow to the South African side.

The newly appointed skipper of the ODI side and the T20 side, AB Devilliers will not be able to lead the side, so the Proteas need to act swiftly as they need to find in a replacement for the player. Another major headache that the South African team might have to face is who should be given the responsibility of captaining the South African side. It would not be surprising to see if Hashim Amla is given the responsibility of carrying the team forward in De Villiers absence. The decision is expected to be taken in the coming days or so.

It could be interesting to see how the Proteas will cope with his loss, as he is one of their mainstays in the middle order, who was capable of playing according to the situation. He is someone who has a special knack of changing gears with ease - putting him in a league of its own. The Proteas are going to miss his services in one of the most important series that they would be playing in recent months.
