Abhijeet Bhattacharya's twitter rant earned him a petition, Sonakshi Sinha's cold shoulder and Mika's joke
Abhijeet Bhattacharya, the Bollywood singer is best known for his playback songs but after the Salman Khan verdict in the hit and the run case, he would be known as the person who became unreasonable.

In a bid to support Salman Khan, Abhijeet Bhattacharya went to the extent to say that roads are for cars and dogs.

His twitter rant went for quite some time and spilled onto daytime news channels, where he defiantly supported his tweets. However, it seemed that he recovered some sense after some time and deleted this particular tweet, ''Kutta rd pe soyega kutte ki maut marega, roads garib ke baap ki nahi hai I ws homles an year nvr slept on rd @BeingSalmanKhan @sonakshisinha.'' This rant did not go down well with Sonakshi Sinha, who was tagged in the tweet.

The Dabangg girl, who owes her career to Salman Khan and showed support in her own way. She visited the home of the superstar and tweeted her concern, but had the sense to refute any part in the singer Abhijeet's rant on twitter. With due respect she put forward her words,

Singer Mike Singh on the other hand seemed to be amused by the whole episode and not only did he not support his fraternity's person but also made fun with a bunch of smileys when he tweeted,

Journalist Rajdeep Sardesai, who normally do not tweet much about the film fraternity could not keep his thoughts to himself on this one and had to get his 140 characters in the whole Abhijeet rant, which garnered a lot more attention then was necessary.

People where so anger at the singer's insesitive tweets that many tweeted against the singer and a petition against the singer and jewellery designer Farah Khan Ali was also filed in Change.org.

Farah Khan Ali also thinks a lot like Abhijeet and they are not the only people as Abhijeet got a number of supporters saying that he was right and that his views were misconstrued.

Even though till now the singer is re-tweeting tweets of people who are supporting him, he did give out a Twitter statement wherein he apologized and said that his words were misconstrued.
