A three days fusion music festival Fusion 1 was held at Veethi Sankel Auditorium from July 21 to 23, 2009, in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. Fusion 1 was organised by Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalaya (IGRMS), Ministry of Culture.
FUSION 1, a three days fusion music festival to explore and present fusion music was held at Veethi Sankel Auditorium from July 21 to 23, 2009, in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh.
On the concluding day of Fusion 1, Bhopal was mesmerised by Abiogenesis with their Naga Howey Music for two rocking hours from 7 pm. The crowd just loved the amalgamation of Naga folk tunes with rock and modern music and had high praises for the musical instrument Bamhum. The hall was packed to capacity and people who couldn’t get accommodated demanded for extra seats or at least project the show on a screen outside. Abiogenesis are Arenla on vocals and Bambum, Moa on acoustic guitar, bamhum and harmonica, Imli on drums and percussions, Larry on bass and Daniel on lead guitar and Jews harp. Abiogenesis' two albums Aeon Spell and Rustic Relish was listed for nominations in the 50th and 51st Grammy Awards.
Fusion 1 was organised by Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalaya (IGRMS), Ministry of Culture. IGRMS is the biggest museum in Asia and set up in 200 acres of picturesque site in Bhopal and devoted to the presentation of the story of humankind in time and space. Therefore, the museum represents expressions and aspirations of the people in it’s open air permanent exhibitions, indoor galleries, special exhibitions, travelling exhibitions and year round events.
