ABP Group, the leading media conglomerate in eastern India has launched an app for iPad and iPhone users for the growing global Bengali mobile internet users.
THE GLOBAL iPad market is 55 million, and this number is growing. Taking into consideration these numbers, the company felt it was good business opportunity to provide Bengali users a customised app for their iOS devices such as iPods, iPads, and iPhones. Users of IPad/iPhone can now download the ABP App from the App Store for free.
In this context, the app 'My Anandabazar' is the first language iOS application of its kind and has diverse features including latest and live Bengali news, Bengali movies, Bengali e-magazines, online radio, cuisine videos, live TV streams of ABP Ananda and Sananda TV, and Bengali blogs by well-known Bengalo writers.
"We are excited to release this new universal app to address the booming iOS market for Bengali communities; said Mr. Kaushik Banerjee, VP-Digital & English Magazines ABP Group, in a media statement.
The movies section has on offer many Bengali classics, and the 'retro' radio channel 'Radio Ananda' brings back memories of old times. Then there is the video recipe section named 'Ponchobyanjon' bringing alive authentic taste of Bengal through rare recipees.
