ABVP candidates Priya Dabas and Neetu Dabas were elected respectively for vice-president and secretary's post while Akshay Kumar of NSUI was elected for joint secretary's post in the DUSU elections.
AKHIL BHARATIYA Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) swept the Delhi University Students Union (DUSU) election as it won the posts of DUSU president, vice president, secretary, whereas NSUI had to contend with a single victory.
ABVP's Jitender Choudhary, who is a student of MA (Buddhist Studies), won the prestigious DUSU President's post.
An estimated 35 per cent of the students of Delhi University had cast their votes to decide the fate of 41 candidates from different students union. The campaigning for the Delhi University elections ended Wednesday. The counting of the votes took place at the office of Dean, students' welfare.
