According to police, the tragedy occurred around 3 am in the morning. The bus suddenly caught fire and fell into a ditch on NH 4. Officials are saying that the fire was caused due to leak in the diesel fuel tank of the bus.

The fire appeared to have started in the front portion and has quickly spread across the bus. As the incident took place early in the morning, most of the passengers were asleep.
