Act of barbarism by police at Bapuji Ashram
Hariom Group condemns the brutal attack on Ashram of Sant Shri Asaram Bapu (endearingly as Bapuji). The police attacked Bapuji's Ashram on November 27, 2009, crossing all boundaries of barbarism, and is an evidence of absolute anarchy.
GUJARAT POLICE barged into Sant Shri Asaram Bapu and thrashed every body including women and monks. They also damaged property, desecrated temple and religious idols in the ashram. The sanctity of the religious place where millions of devotees come from all over the world to find peace and love was completely destroyed.
After taken out of the vans, everyone was made to sit on the floor approximately 50 yards away, surrounded by armed policemen with knob sticks and were beaten up saying that their senior officers had suffered 10 stitches on the head during the rally.

Act of barbarism by police
Bapuji's followers organised many peaceful rallies across Gujarat to protest against the local newspaper baseless and defaming articles about Bapuji and his ashrams. The protest rally organised on November 26, 2009 at Gandhinagar, Gujarat was intruded by a group of anti-social elements and ignited violence by pelting stones on the police and injuring them.
In retaliation, police baton charged hundreds of rally protesters and arrested 236 people including 72 women. Many badly injured protesters were admitted to hospital in very critical condition because of over use of police force.
According to ashram's official site, on November 27, 2009, past noon when a large convoy of police with nearly 150 policemen suddenly barged into the ashram like terrorists without any proper investigation, every one in the ashram including seniors and children were brutally thrashed, kicked and beaten up by sticks and rifle butts and were being dragged to the police vans.
Police damaged property, desecrated temple and religious idols in ashram. This ceaseless rampage of police terrorism in a peaceful ashram of 'self realised' saint continued for over two hours. The sanctity of the religious place where millions of devotees come from all over the world to find peace and love was completely destroyed.
In the evening, police released about 12 children and seniors. One of the released senior person quoted "After taken out of the police vans, everyone was made to sit on the floor approximately 50 yards away, surrounded by armed policemen with knob sticks and were beaten up saying that their senior officers had suffered 10 stitches on the head (during the rally)."
HariomGroup condemns the cruel deeds of these policemen and their personal vengeance was wreaked on innocent monks and followers. It appeared as though these police officers were keen to please and display their loyalty to the senior officers through such malevolent acts. We sincerely appeal to Human Rights Commission and other similar humanitarian organisations throughout the world to condemn this barbaric act and take action against Indian police who violated international human rights and their undemocratic actions.

What a new face of my country, where is human Rights where is police and who in this country will protect us or we go to Obama or.
How badly the innocent sadhaks are TORTURED IN JAIL by police, they would never dare to do with the terrorist, sadhkas in jail can`t even go for loo..

.This type of acts by police is generally done at the behest of the politicians. This type of accidents or incidence will be now on rise due to ensuing assembly election. As such there is no point are condemning using choiceth words. Time has come for action. If such acts continued people should unite and stop casting their vote using the power provided by the election act.

.It is very obvious that anti social elements who gave money fto some gundas or intruding the rally, same elements have bribed police also to do this. It is unbelievable how this act of barbarism be done by Police.Police Department should be probed they should undergo Narco test. they should not be any exception to law
