The Los Angeles county coroner said on Thursday that actress Brittany Murphy's death was an accidental death caused by pneumonia, iron deficiency anemia, and multiple drug intoxication. Coroner’s spokesman Craig Harvey declined to specify what types of drugs were involved in Murphy’s death.
Brittany Murphy husband Simon said his wife was taking the painkiller Vicoprofen and the antidepressant Fluoxetine to deal with severe menstrual cramps, and that many of the other meds found were for his own use due to a seizure he recently suffered.
