Adele wins Best Album award again in BRITs and gives a finger salute
The singer, who recently made a record of sorts by winning six Grammy awards, did it again in home..

WITH HER signature hairstyle, black gown and black eyeliner, everything about Adele in the BRITs Award ceremony was the same- almost the same. As winning the greatest title of the night - Album of the Year- she was overwhelmed but showed her feisty side when she gave the finger salute as host James Corden interrupted her acceptance speech. However, the gesture was applauded by the audience and her fellow musicians who wanted to hear the lady out and booed the host. It was quite a surprise, as Adele like her songs is serene and calm but given the circumstances anyone would be angry.

This is definitely her year as Adele had another go at her career, with her career saving throat surgery, six Grammy’s and two BRIT’s award to finish the list for now. She was presented the award for the Best Album by the Australian singer Kylie Minogue and started her speech saying, “Oh my god. Thank you so much... I'm shaking,” as reported by dailymail.com. She proceeded and was halfway through her speech when host James Corden came by and introduced Blur followed by almost an instant reflex reaction from Adele and her finger.

Many audiences and her fellow singer took to Twitter after the incident and supported the Rolling in deep singer saying that anyone would be angry and that they would rather hear to Adele sing than have Blur sing to them. Defending her action afterwards she said, “was about to thank the British public for their support. They cut me off, sorry if I offended anyone but the suits offended me.”

This was not the only moment worth mentioning as Rihanna, who won the award for the best International Female Solo Artists also put off quite a show for the British audience with nothing more than just a shirt. The risqué performance was however enjoyed by the audience as she performed one of her best, ‘We Found Love,’ song.

Another name that came to the forefront in the awards and whose career would be watched was Ed Sheeran, who won the Best Male Artists and British Breakthrough Act. The evening was filled with performances from artists such as Florence Welch, Olly Murs and Former Oasis member Noel Gallagher, who performed with his band High Flying Birds. It also paid tribute to Whitney Houston, who died recently and Amy Winehouse, who died a year back.

While some awed the audience with their performance, some with their speech and some with the number of awards that they bagged, there were some who awed everyone with their dressing style and daring gowns. Rihanna again must be named for her beaded halter neck, backless gown that had a thigh high spilt. Giving her competition was ‘This Morning’ host Holly Willoughby, who wore a black dress with a plunging neckline. Although Jessie J sings that she doesn’t care about price tag, she was flaunting an expensive red sheer gown and Adele was wearing her trademark black floor length gown. All in all, it was another night of glamour, glitz and gowns.
