'Ae Dil Hai Mushkil': Makers meet Mumbai Police Commissioner, demand security for cinema halls
In the wake of the threat issued by Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) to multiplex cinemas on screening films starring Pakistani actors, some prominent Bollywood producers including Mukesh Bhatt and Sidhartha Roy Kapoor along with the producers of 'Ae Dil Hai Mushkil' met senior Mumbai police officers today.
Multiplex cinemas were issued threat by the MNS to not screen the upcoming film that casts Pakistani actor Fawad Khan. Thus, the delegation has asked for security for cinema houses that are willing to screen the film.

The delegation including members from the producers' guild met Mumbai Police Commissioner, DD Padsalgikar along with Joint Commissioner of Police (law and order) Deven Bharti. The meeting that started around 11.40 am in the morning, continued till post noon.

Steps will be taken to protect the theatres, said Bharti. "The Mumbai police will provide adequate protection to cinema theatres as and when required," the city police said in a statement.

The local police will be deployed at multi-screen cinema halls to protect the theatres.
