In the series of star born actors, Bonny Kapoor’s son Arjun Kapoor has debuted as a protagonist who, for political benefits, can go to any extent. The story line twists when Arjun, who plays the role of Parma Chauhan, gets into a fake marriage and then gets physical with Parineeti Chopra, who plays the role of Zoya, the daughter of opposition leader Qureshi, in a ploy to defeat Qureshis. Qureshis lose the election and then Ambala girl Parineeti Chopra, cousin of Priyanka Chopra, pledges to take revenge on Arjun.
Eventually they fall in love in reality after the sacrifice of Arjun’s mother. Destiny brings an end to their love life when both Chauhans and Qureshis join hands to kill the love birds for falling in love and getting married. The movie has a tragic end when Parma Chauhan and Zoya Qureshi kill themselves to avoid getting shot at the hands of their own family members who claim to be prominent and responsible members of society and are so called flag-bearers of morality.
National awardee for Dev D, Amit Trivedi has composed melodious songs especially Pareshan and Jhalla Walla. The movie has mostly been shot in and around Lucknow and one of the best parts of the movie is that Yash Raj Films has given a chance to local theatre actors like Anil Rastogi and Ratan Singh Rathore to mark their presence on silver screen. Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra have scope to act well. Anil Rastogi and Ratan Singh Rathore should have been more effective but they have failed to avail this opportunity to make a mark.
Eventually the movie compels the audience to think of this issue, which can easily be noticed in every neighborhood. Man claims his footprints on moon but still we are chained in orthodox customs and do not hesitate to kill those who dare to break the boundaries and want to marry a partner of their choice.
