Afridi quits international cricket calls Pak board 'disgraceful'
Shahid Afridi has taken a surprise decision to quit international cricket when he has some healthy years to play in front of him. It is his frustration against the Pakistan board that led him to..
SHAHID AFRIDI, the world record holder for scoring the fastest century, decided to quit International cricket. Afridi, known for his explosive batting, entertained fans across the globe with his lusty hits over the fence. He had recently turned into a fine leg spinner too. Afridi has maintained that he has retired "conditionally", and that he is ready to play for Pakistan only if there is an appointment of a new board, which would genuinely look into Pakistan cricket. He described the present set of administrators as a disgrace to Pakistan cricket.

Pakistan cricket has always been shrouded by controversies on and off the field each and every day. Today, it was no different as Shahid Afridi announced his retirement from international cricket. The world has been taken back by his sudden decision to quit, just few days after he had been stripped off Pakistan’s captaincy in One Day Internationals.

He blamed the Pakistan Cricket Board for his decision to quit. He feels that he has been insulted too many a times. In spite of respectable results, his views and decisions were not paid heed to. He was really disturbed when he was stripped off his captaincy due to some tiff between him and Waqar Younis, coach of the Pakistan Cricket team. He was also hurt as he was not consulted when team selection had to be carried out. PCB did not give any valid reason for ousting him from his captaincy.
