Diwali, the festival of lights was celebrated yesterday all throughout the country with divas, crackers and sweets. Now after diwali, people are busy wishing and sending new year sms and going for movies.

DIWALI, THE festival of lights was celebrated yesterday all throughout the country with divas, crackers and sweets. People of all ages gathered on the streets and celebrated this festival with fun and happiness.

The nights came alive with diyas, lights and fire crackers lightning the sky. The special occasion saw people meeting friends, distributing sweets and preferring to stay indoors. For a change, Delhi and Gurgaon roads saw no traffic jams and hardly any shops in markets were opened.

Most of the houses in the posh Palam Vihar area of Gurgaon were beautifully decorated with diyas, candles and flicking lights. The lights were meant to overcome the darkness as a symbol of good conquering the evil.

Now with Diwali over, people are seen queuing up at the PVR cinemas, DT cinemas, fun cinemas and booking online tickets from bookmyshow, as a number of much awaited movies like Blue, Main aur Mrs. Khanna and All the best have hit the screens. .

Everyone is still sending messages, ecards to everyone wishing a happy diwali and a happy new year. Some of the New year sms are:
