After Meryl Streep as the Iron lady, Political drama selling in Hollywood
Everyone loved Meryl Streep and her performance as the Iron Lady, so much so that everyone is..
AFTER
MERYL Streep won the Oscars for her perfect act as Margaret Thatcher, Julianne Moore is seen impersonating Sarah Palin. Political dramas and biopic are running high on the wish list of the audience or so it seems as one after another, Hollywood political dramas are making news. Although Meryl Streep brushed off rumours of playing Hillary Clinton, when both were seen together in an event, everyone would love the Sopies’s Choice actress take on the daunting task of being Hillary Clinton. As far as political drama goes, they are definitely touching a high note.
Oscars saw not only the Iron Lady but also Ides of March in the nomination list. Nominated for the best adapted screenplay, the Ides of March was immensely popular. What with seeing both
Ryan Gosling and
George Clooney in the same frame, dressed as man of mission, the audience could not get enough of them and a very strong screenplay.
Now barely three weeks after the Oscars, the audience was again seeing some cinematic brilliance over the small screen with HBO’s Game Change. Julianne Moore was brilliant as Sarah Palin and it was not because she was uncanny as the Republican but also the way she delivered her performance and drew in a total of 3.6 million viewers as per bloomsberg.com. She not only looked Palin but talked, dressed and behaved like her for the made-for-TV movie. All in all, political drama and suspense are selling like hot cakes in Hollywood.
