After Saifgate Aamir the only Khan who hasn't pulled a punch in public
What's happening to Bollywood? Is it a season for slapping and pushing people around? With Saif Ali..
AFTER WHAT is famously called as the Shahrukh Khan-Shirish Kunder Slapgate episode, Saif Ali Khan also maintained the glory of his surname by getting into a brawl. While the other party gets nothing more than just two minutes of fame, Saif's actions are debated, favoured and questioned by his fans. Some are also cracking jokes at his expense on Twitter saying that he has finally had his solo ‘hit’!
However, everyone in the Taj Hotel, who was having dinner with him, recounted the incident as a conflict between two men and that the Nawab was provoked. The other side of the coin was that the NRI businessman, Iqbal Sharma was assaulted by Khan and so was his father-in-law. With three out of the four Khans of Bollywood resorting to violence, Aamir Khan remains the only Khan not to be involved in an incident of violence.
Iqbal Sharma allegedly wanted to have some peace and quiet in the restaurant where they were dinning in and so was Saif’s group that included Kareena Kapoor
, Malaika Arora
Khan and Amitra Arora. Sharma’s complaint to the manager of the restaurant apparently ticked off Khan and he started abusing Sharma as well as his father-in-law and eventually hit Sharma. Sharma did not take the matter lightly and filed a complaint against the actor.
Along with the businessman Shakeel Ladak and producer Bilal Amrohi, Khan was arrested by the Mumbai Police but was granted bail soon after the arrest. According to an article in zeenews.com, a senior police officer said that they questioned other diners and their story also sided with the Sharma’s and so it is a simple case. However, the Parineeta actor filed a counter complaint with the Mumbai Police and according to a news report in ANI, Khan said that the matter is in court now and would be settled by the court.
Whatever the outcome, the actors are seen losing it frequently and creating huge media hype around these acts of violence. They would say that they have nothing to do in the matter but people look upto them and that they can solve things in a better way.
