Aggressive cricket is the strategy for Kings XI Punjab, says Virender Sehwag
Prominent former India batsman Virender Sehwag said on Tuesday that he will allow his team players to play aggressive cricket during the current season of the IPL.

He is currently the director of cricket operations for the Kings XI Punjab.

While revealing his team's jersey at Indore on Tuesday he said, "We are not worried about victory or defeat. I will allow my players to play aggressive cricket."

The flamboyant right-handed batsman further said, "The players of Kings XI Punjab would play fearlessly like I have played."

He also gave a confirmation that Ishant Sharma, who wasn't picked initially by any of the franchises, is now associated with Kings XI Punjab.

"It's a pleasure to inform that Ishant (Sharma) is now picked up by Kings XI. I have an old rapport with him as we played together in Indian team," he further said.

Sehwag said some players are in good form unlike the last session while expressing hope that the performance of this team would be better in this season of the IPL.

He further added, "We have good batsmen like Martin Guptill, Glenn Maxwell, Eoin Morgan, Darren Sammy and David Miller. If any two of these batsman perform then we can easily win the match."

With eight points from 14 matches Kings XI Punjab had finished at the bottom of the points table last season. Responding to this concern Sehwag said that they can't further go down, there's only scope of going up now.

In this session of the Indian Premier League, three matches will be played at Holkar Stadium in Indore which is also the home ground for Kings XI Punjab.

The matches at Holkar stadium will be high scoring games as it is a small stadium, said Sehwag.

He said that his team would absolutely love to play matches with five bowlers.
