BBMB has recently made a move to create its own cadre of employees on the ground that there is a perpetual shortage of personnel from the partner states.

The Chief Engineer Transmission System BBMB, a well-known “Astrologer & Tantrik” has been given an extension in service beyond age of superannuation at the recommendation of BBMB Chairman and extension was not approved by his parent organization UHBVN.
Earlier, Secretary BBMB, a Haryana Irrigation engineer got extension and promotion as Chief Engineer at the recommendation of BBMB Chairman. He has been retained as Chief engineer in BBMB though there is no vacant post and his pay has been charged to post of SE HQ in CE TS office.
BBMB has developed a practice of giving six monthly extensions to those officials/ workers/ technical personnel who are to retire. It has been alleged in the letter that a kickback equal to one-month salary is to be given by the concerned employee.
XEN Kurukshetra (BBMB) from Rajasthan cadre has been handpicked and given promotion as Superintending Engineer and posted at Panipat. Recently, BBMB chairman against rules stopped the pay of two superintending engineers, as one daily wager did not get his pay on time.
