Air India employees strike went on for the second day
On Tuesday (May 25) the Air India employees and engineers went on a flash strike protesting for their payments and salaries. About 77 flights were cancelled putting all the passengers who were to travel by Air India in a great trouble.
AIR INDIA employees and engineers went on a flash strike protesting for their payments and salaries.

Approximately, 25,000 employees are on strike and the passengers who were to travel by Air India are now in deep trouble for the cancellation of regular flights. About 77 flights were cancelled and if the employees continue their strike then more flights are likely to be cancelled.

The ground staff too joined the flash strike. Just three days after the Air India Express IX 812 crash at Mangalore killing 159 passengers and seven survived such situation of flash strike is nothing but to put the passengers in a great trouble.

The flights that were cancelled from Delhi included: AI 841 to Abu Dhabi, IC 849 to Pune, AI 853 to Bangkok, IC 864 to Chandigarh, IC 869 to Raipur-Nagpur, IC 134 to Mumbai via Bhopal-Indore, IC 409 and IC 415 to Patna, IC 411 and IC 811 to Lucknow, IC 413 and IC 813 to Kathmandu, IC 445 to Ludhiana, IC 821 to Jammu-Srinagar, IC 885 to Muscut, IC 889 to Guawahati-Imphal and IC 896 to Jaipur, IC 471 to Mumbai via Jodhpur –Udaipur, AI 480 to Singapore, AI 638 to Amritsar, AI 747 and IC 895 to Dubai, IC 817 and IC 861 to Ahmedabad.
From Mumbai three flights to Ahmedabad. Six flights to Delhi, four to Chennai, two each to Bangalore, Goa, Hyderabad, Nagpur, Muscut and Cochin, and one each to Bangkok, Dubai, Singapore, Abu Dhabi, Kozikode, Aurangabad, Lucknow, Varanasi, Rajkot, Jamnagar, Jaipur, Raipur, Bhubaneshwar, Udaipur and Jodhpur were also cancelled.

The National carrier has also cancelled its six flights from Kolkata to Agartala, Kuala Lumpur, Mumbai, Coimbatore, Bhubaneshwar, Bangalore-Cochin, and Bangalore-Trivandrum,Bagdogra, Silchar, Dibrugarh, Imphal and Port Blair, while seven flights from Chennai to Singapore, two flights from Bangalore to Mumbai and flights in Maldives were also cancelled, the official said.

The ACEU president asked the Air India officials to withdraw the gag order which is implemented on the strike employees, but at present the sufferers are the passengers
It is total a failure in Air India functionary.

Arvind Jadhav, Air India chief threatened to take stern action against the striking employees on Tuesday (May 25) evening. "We may terminate staff who started the strike," he informed.
